Thanks Tim, but I saw that and to be quite honest, not a whole lot of that makes sense, or I'm concerned that I will brick my printer.
I don't know what HOST means, but I'm guessing it means a PC that is connected to the printer via USB. I have no idea what program to use to do this or how to even use it.
The next section mentions using the LCD, which is what I am looking for. This section appears to be the menu instructions on how to do it. I only know this (I think) because I recall similar words used on a video I saw when trying to figure out how to enable manual mesh bed leveling.
Select Level Bed then choose Level Bed (not Cancel) in the sub-menu.
Wait for Homing XYZ to complete.
When Click to Begin appears, press the controller button to move to the first point.
Use the controller wheel to adjust Z so that a piece of paper can just pass under the nozzle.
Press the controller button to save the Z value and move to the next point.
Repeat steps 4-5 until completed.
Use Control > Store memory to save the mesh to EEPROM, if desired.
Am I interpreting the process correctly: All I need to do is un-comment out "Requires the MESH_BED_LEVELING" option in Configuration.h. then compile and reflash my Ender 3? ( I already managed to burn a boot loader and install your version of Marlin to my printer.)
The video's I've seen have other steps and I could not find the lines in your download to un-comment them per the instructions.
I know this level of questioning seems basic, maybe even childish to some, but it would be the same as if someone not versed in frequency drive parameter programming for a specific AC induction motor. I do this and understand it, It's my field. Thank you for any assistance and patients.
