Good afternoon all
I have recently purchased an Ender 3 for my kids and added some stepper motor smoothers (which has made it quieter) and EZABL Pro Mini (to make it easier for the kids to print without having to manually level the bed) and of course upgraded the firmware
The issue I seem to have now is the quality of the print is worse than what it was before I did the upgrades
The black calibration cube is from before the upgrades, the red calibration cube after the upgrades - the gcode is identical for both prints and I have also tried reslicing and reprinting with the same outcome.
I have spoken to the very helpful guys at TH3D studio and enabled all of the quality settings I could in the firmware, I have ensure all the frames on the printer are level and square, all the steeper drive motors are running smoothly and not catching on anything and calibrated the flow settings, e-steps etc.
The suggestion has been made that the only things it could now be is an issue with the printer itself or the slicer I am using (Cura 4.2.1 and also tried an earlier version as well)
To me it appears as though the infill is coming through the side walls of the print
If anyone can offer suggestions it would be very much appreciated
